Baby Boomers Are Selling
Like
every other market, the Mergers and Acquisitions market follows the
economic laws of supply and demand.
Current
Demand:
Today, it is estimated that active business buyers outnumber sellers 4 to
1. This is a "Seller's Market" where multiple buyers drive up prices.
Projected
Supply:
It is projected that a glut of businesses will be offered for sale
over the next 2 to 10 years as successful baby-boomer business owners plan
their exit. It is estimated that three times as many businesses will
be offered for sale by 2010 as there are today.
